Get your short-drama app reviewed
We test on a US account, pay through a paywall with our own money, and publish what we find — strengths and weaknesses. A deep-dive review puts your app in front of US viewers who are actively comparing options.
Three things we promise
1. We write every review ourselves. No app operator has draft approval, editing rights or any input into the text beyond answering factual questions. The named publisher is accountable for every sentence.
2. Payment covers research, not results. A paid review is a commitment from us to install, test and write an honest analysis within a set timeframe. It is not a commitment to publish a positive one. Every review we have published criticises the app it covers.
3. Ranking position is never for sale. Scores are calculated on six published axes with fixed weights. A paid review enters the ranking at the position its score earns — no higher, no lower. The scoring method is set out on our method page and applies to every app equally.
What a review covers
Each review is a 2,000–4,000 word analysis published on its own page. It includes:
- Installation and onboarding experience on both iOS and Android (where available)
- Full free-tier measurement: how many episodes you can watch without paying, through which routes
- At least one paid paywall test with a US payment method, with receipts kept
- Score breakdown across all six axes: cost transparency, catalogue depth, production quality, free tier, device coverage and billing transparency
- AI-detection assessment using our published eight-signal method
- Competitive positioning against other ranked apps
- Screenshots (with permission) and source-dated figures throughout
How pricing works
We offer paid deep-dive reviews for apps that want guaranteed coverage within a specific timeframe. The fee covers our editorial time — typically three to four weeks of testing, writing and verification.
The price depends on catalogue size and complexity. We quote after an initial conversation about your app. There is no published rate card, because a 50-title catalogue and a 2,000-title catalogue are different amounts of work.
Payment is invoiced before the review begins. If we cannot complete the review for a reason on our side, the fee is refunded. If the review is negative, it is still published — that is the commitment.
What we need from you
- A working promo code or test account with access to paid content
- A contact person who can confirm factual questions — catalogue size, production methods, pricing structure
- Permission to publish screenshots from the app
- Approximate catalogue size and the languages your app supports (helps us scope the work)
We do not need marketing materials, talking points or a briefing deck. The review is based on what we see in the app, not what we are told about it.
Tested versus listed
A "tested" review means we installed the app, paid through a paywall and scored it ourselves. A "listed" entry means the app appears in our ranking with publicly available data but has not been through our full hands-on protocol.
Submitting your app through this form does not guarantee a review. It does guarantee that we look at it. If we decide to cover the app editorially at no charge, we will let you know. If you want a guaranteed published review with a set deadline, that is the paid service.
Advertising is a separate service
Sponsored placements on this site — banner slots, dedicated landing pages, newsletter mentions — are handled separately from reviews. An advertising relationship never influences a review score. If you are interested in advertising rather than (or in addition to) a review, select "I want to advertise" in the form below, or visit the partners page.

Frequently asked questions
Can I pay to change a score or a ranking position?
No. The scoring axes and their weights are published before any app is scored. A paid review pays for our time testing — it never pays for a result. This is set out in our editorial policy and our affiliate disclosure.
What if the review is negative?
It is published anyway. A paid review is a commitment to write an honest, detailed analysis, not a promotional piece. We criticise every app we review, including the one we earn affiliate commission from. Paying does not buy a favourable verdict.
How long does a review take?
Typically three to four weeks from receiving a working test account or promo code to publication. That includes at least a full week of active viewing, a paywall test and a technical audit. Rush timelines (under two weeks) may be available — ask in the form.
What do you need from us to start?
A working promo code or test account with access to paid content, a contact person who can answer factual questions (catalogue size, production method, pricing structure), and permission to publish screenshots from the app.
Do you review apps that are not AI-produced?
Yes. Our ranking covers the entire vertical short-drama category available to US viewers. An app does not need to use AI in production to be reviewed. We report what we find — if there is no AI, we say so.
Is there a free listing option?
We do not offer a free listing. Every app in our ranking was placed there because we chose to review it. However, submitting your app through this form brings it to our attention for editorial coverage — there is no charge for that. Paid reviews guarantee a published review within a set timeframe.
