Disclaimer
Read this before you rely on any number on this site. Prices in this category change without notice and vary by region, device, store and promotion. Nine of the thirteen applications we rank publish no official US price at all. The figure quoted to you at checkout is the only binding one.
General information only
Everything published here is general editorial information about AI dramas and vertical short-drama applications. It is not legal, financial, tax, contractual or professional advice, and it is not a substitute for reading an application's own terms before you pay.
Prices and the limits of what we can tell you
Subscription prices, coin values, coin pack sizes, free-episode allowances, promotional offers and regional availability all change frequently and without announcement. The same application can quote different figures on iOS, on Android and on the web, in different countries, and on different days.
Every page carries a verification date. A figure that was accurate on that date may not be accurate now. Where our pages give a range rather than a single number, that reflects genuine variation we observed, not imprecision on our part.
Unverified and secondary-source figures
We label what we could not verify, and there is a lot of it. Specifically:
- Nine of thirteen applications give us no usable US price at all. Where we quote a figure for those, it comes from independent listings or our own testing and is labelled as such. We do not estimate a price to fill a gap.
- Some tool and platform prices come from secondary reporting rather than a retrieved official page. Those are marked. Do not republish them as established facts.
- Vendor statements are labelled as vendor statements. A company describing its own cost savings is evidence of what the company says.
- Forecasts are labelled as forecasts. A projection from a research firm is not a measured outcome.
- Calculated figures are labelled as calculated. Where we do arithmetic on someone else's numbers, the arithmetic is ours and any error in it is ours.
AI classifications are our judgement
No application in our ranking publishes what share of its catalogue is AI-produced, and no independent dataset measures it. Every AI classification on this site — "AI-native", "mixed catalogue", "mostly live-action" — is our own assessment based on the platform's public positioning, its stated production method and our own viewing, using the signals described on the method page.
That produces evidence, not proof. Individual titles may be misclassified. If a platform publishes a real figure we will replace our judgement with their number and say whose it is.
What our scores are and are not
Scores express our editorial verdict after hands-on testing. They are not measurements, they are not audited, and they are not a mechanical average of the axis scores we publish — the method page explains exactly where our judgement enters. Treat any difference under about half a point as a tie in which your own taste is the better evidence.
Affiliate relationship
This site earns a commission from DramaBox installations made through links here, at no additional cost to you, and earns nothing from any other application on the site. DramaBox also ranks first in our list. We disclose this on every page that carries such a link rather than in a footer nobody reads.
The safeguard we can actually offer is the published record: our DramaBox review names the application's refusal to publish a US price as its worst failing, states that it does not make the best television in the category, and directs readers to a competitor we earn nothing from if performance quality is what matters to them. Judge the relationship on that rather than on a promise.
We are not anyone's support channel
We are not affiliated with, endorsed by or acting for DramaBox, ReelShort, ShortMax, FlexTV, StoReel, Character.AI, DramaWave, GoodShort, VibeShort, FlickReels, MoboDrama, MyMuse or NetShort. We cannot access your account, cancel your subscription, restore your coins or issue a refund. For any of that, contact the application provider or your app store directly. Our cancellation guide explains where those controls live.
Content warning
Vertical short dramas, AI-produced or otherwise, are built on genre conventions that include coercion, possessive-partner relationships, revenge and abduction plots. Several applications carry age-restricted material. We describe these conventions where relevant but we do not classify individual titles, and nothing here should be read as a suitability rating for any particular viewer.
External links
We link to applications, official product pages, research publications and news reporting operated by third parties. We do not control their content, pricing, availability or practices and we accept no responsibility for them. A link is not an endorsement.
Legal content
Our guide to the legal position of AI dramas in the United States summarises public sources as at its verification date. Parts of that position are genuinely unsettled — the Copyright Office's material on training data was still pre-publication and the FTC's extension of its impersonation rule to private individuals was not final. State law differs. Nothing on this site is legal advice, and anyone producing commercially should take advice from a qualified lawyer.
