AI Drama Reviews is an independent, US-focused tracker of AI dramas: which apps actually carry AI-generated series, what a full season really costs, and what the production technology can and cannot do. We install every app on a US account and pay through a paywall before we score it. We are funded by a single affiliate relationship, with DramaBox, which we disclose on every page. We are not affiliated with any service we review.
Why this site exists
Almost everything written about AI dramas confuses two different things: an app that distributes short dramas, and a platform that produces them with AI. Those are not the same category, and the difference changes every number you might quote.
The confusion has a real cost for readers. A market figure that describes the whole microdrama category gets quoted as though it measured AI production. An app gets called an "AI drama app" because it uses AI dubbing on conventionally filmed series. And a viewer who would rather know what they are watching has no way to find out, because no platform in this category labels its AI titles.
We built this site to hold that distinction steady. Every review states which parts of a catalogue we judge to be AI-produced and, just as importantly, says that this is our judgement rather than a figure anyone has published.

Editorial principles
Five rules, in the order we apply them.
- Test before scoring. Nothing is rated from a press release. We install, exhaust the free tier, pay through a paywall, keep the receipt and cancel in the store.
- Source and date every number. In the sentence that uses it, not only in a list at the bottom. Where a figure comes from a vendor describing its own results, we say so.
- Publish the gaps. Nine of thirteen apps give us no usable US price; no platform publishes its AI catalogue share; no independent quality benchmark exists. We state these rather than filling them with estimates.
- Criticise what we earn from. The one app that funds this site is also the one whose worst failing we name most often. If that ever stops being true, stop trusting us.
- Write the minus section first. Every review has one, and it is not decorative.
What we do not do
- We do not host, stream, mirror or link to pirated content.
- We do not accept payment for scores, placements or coverage.
- We do not publish a price we could not verify, and we do not estimate one to fill a table cell.
- We do not present a forecast as an outcome, or a vendor's account of its own results as independent measurement.
- We do not give legal advice. Our legal guide is general information, and it says so twice.

Single-source funding is a real conflict of interest and we would rather name it than manage it quietly. The safeguard we can actually offer is the record: read the DramaBox review and count how many times it criticises the app we are paid to recommend.
Corrections and contact
If a figure here is wrong, we want to know. Send it with a source to our contact page and we will correct the page and date the change. We reply to most messages within two business days. We are not the support channel for any app — for account, billing or refund problems, contact the app provider directly.

Does the commission affect your ranking?
DramaBox ranks first, so the question is fair. Our answer is to point at what the reviews say when the commission is not looking: DramaBox's review names its refusal to publish a US price as the app's worst failing, tells readers to install ReelShort instead if acting quality decides it for them, and says plainly that it does not make the best television in this category.
Why focus on AI dramas rather than short dramas generally?
Because the distinction is where the confusion is. Most coverage treats short-drama apps and AI-drama platforms as the same thing, and they are not: some catalogues are AI-produced, most are AI-localised live-action, and no platform publishes the split. Tracking that gap is the reason this site exists.
Do you accept payment for reviews or placements?
No. No app can buy a score, a placement, a mention or a change to its review. If that ever changes we will say so on this page before it happens, not afterwards.
How do you handle corrections?
We publish them. If a figure here is wrong, tell us with a source and we will fix it and date the change. Several pages already carry notes where our own earlier judgement was revised.
Do you use AI to write this site?
We use AI tools in research and drafting, and every page is fact-checked, edited and signed off by a person against the sources listed at its foot. Given the subject, that seems worth stating plainly rather than leaving readers to guess.
